Nano-Ceramic Powders

Nanoceramic powders are used in various applications from microelectronics, optical, chemical, environmental to magnetic recording. Nanometer-sized powder can be synthesized via different routes such as ball milling, sol gel, or freeze drying. Nano-ceramic powders are generally small, abrasion resistant, corrosion resistant, high strength, and low fracture toughness. These inherent properties make them increasingly useful in the next generation of high-speed computer chips, and in the medical industry to manufacture artificial bone implants.
